A joined up approach with our partners to provide wellbeing workshops for carers.  We will tackle these topics from different angles to help support your overall wellbeing.
You can express interest into one or more workshops however places are limited.

Managing Me - Friday 29 July 12:30-3pm Uxbridge

Psychological approach: An interactive workshop exploring why we feel stress, the impact of stress on our minds and our bodies, and the effective ways we can manage and reduce our personal stress levels.

Looking after Me - Wednesday 24 August 10.30am – 1.00pm Uxbridge 

 A Therapeutic care practice: Managing stress. This workshop will introduce some simple emotional “first aid” practices for managing stress and overwhelming emotion. 

Create Me - Monday 19 September 10am-12:30pm Ruislip Manor

Art Therapy: You will explore ways that using art can help you to relax and express yourself.  This month we will look at Mindfulness colour, use of colour and connection to mood.

Managing Me - Friday 28 October 12:30-3pm Uxbridge

Psychological approach:  In this interactive workshop we explore what we mean by the term ‘mental health’.  We will take a closer look at two of the most common mental health conditions which affect 1 in 4 of us at some point in our lives – anxiety and depression.  We will discuss some of the causes of anxiety and depression and the experience and management of both low mood and high anxiety.

A Therapeutic care practice: High Anxiety.  This workshop looks at some other practices we can use to manage high anxiety and overwhelming emotion.

Art Therapy: Thinking of our emotions as the elements, using watercolour and acrylic, using inks for blowing and splashing.

Energizing and enriching your life in 2023

Managing Me - Friday 20 January 12:30-3pm Uxbridge

Psychologists have identified six key areas (or energy stores) which are important to support and maintained our mental health.  Times of challenge and stress depletes the energy in these stores which can take its toll on our mental health.  In this interactive workshop we will check out your personal energy charge in each of the six areas and identify ways that you can boost and maintain your personal energy levels throughout the New Year

Therapeutic Care practice: Finding your Joy – This workshop looks at what brings us joy and encourages us to tap into sources of Joy to energise and enrich our lives.

Talking Therapies Hillingdon offer members of the public free webinars on various topics on mental health. These sessions include information about these topics, and CBT skills which may help to develop new coping strategies. The topics we run are: CBT Toolbox for Low Mood, Worry Management, Sleep and Relaxation, Connecting with Others and Managing Stress.

Talking Therapies have an upcoming webinar on ‘Wellbeing for Carers’ . This will be taking place on Wednesday 20th July 2022 at 12:00-13:00pm.
As a carer, you devote your time to supporting and caring for your loved ones, but it’s equally as important to make sure you have some ways of supporting your own wellbeing. Learn ways to tackle stress, low mood and anxiety in this workshop specifically tailored to those who care for others
